A partnership which has delivered success through trust and understanding
For over two years, Rockpools worked closely with Peterborough City Council to source a number of talented people into key roles in their senior management team; enabling the Council to improve its performance.
The appointments ranged across the breadth of functions; including finance, planning; human resources, ICT, transport and customer services, and also included several interim placements. By working on multiple assignments, the Rockpools team really got to know the Peterborough area as well as the council. This also enabled the officers at Peterborough City Council to develop a level of trust with Rockpools which was fundamental to the success of the council’s many appointments.
The partnership between the council and Rockpools did not just help build capacity within the senior management team through the executive recruitment process, however. Rockpools also provided the Council with a range of different services including management consultancy, which have helped the council deliver real performance improvements. This included conducting assessments of the chief executive and other senior managers, as well as sourcing mentors and coaches to support and develop senior staff.
