David Thomas

David graduated with honours from Portsmouth University having taken a 4 year sandwich course in Business Studies. As part of the course, he spent 15 months at Toys R Us UK as the senior buyer's assistant.

David spent 3 and a half years working for a small private sector recruitment consultancy specialising in the provision of temporary construction trades and labour to various East London and Essex based development contracts. During this time, he also took 9 months out to travel the world visiting regions like India, Egypt and South East Asia.

David joined Rockpools in April 2006 as a consultant working close to Partner, Balvinder Sangha, focusing on regeneration and construction schemes. In the time since, David has assisted on a number of high profile clients ranging from the Olympic Delivery Authority and the National Housing Planning and Advice Unit of DCLG to various urban regeneration companies (URCs) and the recently emerging City Development Companies (CDCs). He has also begun to widen his experience to cover local government appointments and housing associations.

In his spare time, David is an avid cinema goer, enjoys playing football, going swimming, and has just recently taken up running (and competed in 3 half marathons). David has also taken up 'tae kwon do', and is currently a green belt, with a determined aspiration to reach black belt status.
