Michael Dobson

Since joining Rockpools Michael has worked on a number of high profile assignments with a broad range of clients across the public sector, and now specialises in the area of Central Government, having worked with a wide range of Departments, NDPBs and agencies, both newly created and well established, including the Marine Management Organisation, DEFRA, HM Treasury, Electoral Commission, HMRC, MoJ, Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the UK Supreme Court. Michael also has a breadth of experience in interviewing and mentoring very senior candidates across Central Government and has engaged with a diverse range of high profile stakeholders throughout his experience.

Michael joined Rockpools following an earlier career in local government with North Lincolnshire Council in a development role; responsible for building partnerships with key organisations such as the PCT, local police, Sport England and a range of central government partners. The role involved working with local sports clubs, schools and community groups to develop external funding bids and establish sustainable development plans; increasing opportunities for people to participate in Physical Activity.

Following sports scholarships to both Oundle School and Loughborough University, Michael gained representative honours with young England teams, British and England Universities and spent two years with Northamptonshire County Cricket Club. He brings a strong track record of achievement in the sporting environment, as well as achievements made in this arena over recent years on high profile public sector roles.
