Richard Pooley

Richard Pooley has recently joined Rockpools to support the firm's growing private sector practice.

Richard has two key areas of specialisation. The first is senior financial management recruitment, where he focusses on hiring Chief Financial Officers, Finance Directors and other senior finance professionals for UK and international clients across a range of industries including media, publishing, transport, FMCG and financial services.

His other area of specialisation is within the professional services sector. Here, he has worked for many leading consulting, accounting and business advisory firms – not only just hiring Partners and Business Heads - but also developing long-term strategic partnerships and providing business market intelligence and insights to help further strengthen these organisations' human capital capability.

A Law graduate, Richard moved into legal recruitment then investment banking recruitment with a well-known agency. He then spent three years at Ernst & Young, London, which included a year in the management consulting arm. Richard then moved to Norman Broadbent, where he focussed on senior finance appointments and also set up Norman Broadbent's professional services practice, which centred on recruitment for two of the Big Four accounting firms.

He joins Rockpools from Veredus, where he developed their private sector practice.

Outside of work, Richard enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his young family.
