Third Sector

Rockpools works with all types of not for profit organisations to help them operate more successfully through identifying, developing and retaining talent.

Rockpools experience ranges from charities, co-operatives, advocacy/interest groups, think tanks, social movements, political parties, voluntary/community organisations and religious organisations, reflecting the breadth and multi-layered insight into the sector.

The third sector faces major challenges, stemming not only from the economic downturn, but from its ever increasing role in the public service delivery, as well as blurring boundaries between the private and charitable sectors and funding constraints, amongst many other. With these trends, also comes the need for strong and robust leadership within the sector.

Rockpools’ Third Sector team, led by our Partner, Balvinder Sangha is drawn from a range of third sector roles and their combined experience amounts to over 20 years of directly working in the sector, bringing useful insights and empathy of the challenges.

Our recruitment assignments have included recruiting the Chair and Trustees for Action for Children (formerly NCH); the Chief Executive of the RSPCA; Chief Executive for the Scottish Refugee Council; Chief Executive of the National Autistic Society; Chair and non-executive members for Futurebuilders England; Chair and board members for the Adventure Capital Fund; board members for the Internet Watch Foundation; the WRVS’s Director of Fundraising; the Chief Executive of the Windsor Leadership Trust; and the Chair and Chief Executive for the Social Care Institute for Excellence.
